My Approach to Therapy

In my practice, I emphasise person-centered therapy, which means I am here to walk beside you in your healing journey, respecting you as the expert of your own life. I recognise that many individuals face systemic barriers and discrimination in their lives. Whether you are part of the LGBTQIA+ community, live with a disability, are neurodivergent, or face any other challenges, I am here to offer support that recognises and validates your experiences.

It is essential for you to feel heard and understood without fear of discrimination, bias, or shame. Whether you’ve been marginalised by society or experienced trauma, I offer a therapeutic space where your identity and lived experience will be respected and honoured. You can bring your whole self into therapy, and we can work together to create strategies for growth and healing that honour your individuality.

Share your feelings and experiences freely
Explore your identity and personal growth at your own pace.
Bring your preferred sensory tools, hobbies, or items that make you comfortable (e.g., fidget toys, blankets).
Disclose or not disclose anything that feels too private at any point—this is your choice.
I believe therapy should be a space where you can feel comfortable, respected, and empowered. If you feel uncertain about your identity, have faced discrimination, or feel like an outsider in many areas of your life, know that this is a space where your experience will be respected, and I will never force you to change who you are.

Accessibility and Comfort

To ensure that therapy feels as comfortable and accessible as possible for you, I am happy to accommodate any sensory needs or preferences you have. You are welcome to bring items like fidget toys, weighted blankets, or anything else that helps you feel comfortable during our sessions. If you prefer to communicate in a way that feels easiest for you (e.g., through text, in writing, etc.), let me know. Together, we can tailor your therapy experience to meet your specific needs.
